Dive bar with a punk vibe that serves excellent pizza. I went here with a local to pick up a few slices and a "growler" of beer to go. They'll put your beer in a moonshine-style jug and seal it up to take with you, which qualifies as the most amazing thing I've seen in Little Rock so far. I've only been here a day and a half, but still, good way to start the visit AND end a Sunday. I can also recommend the bread sticks with cheese. They obviously know not to overcook them like a lot of pizza places, so the bread remains soft while the cheese is melted. Really cool spot.

It's pretty average all-around. The calzones are pretty large and have tons of cheese but don't really stand out with flavor. The prices are reasonable at $1.85 for a slice of cheese, $7-9 for a calzone; and $4 for a specialty slice, but again, there's nothing special about the food. Pretty decent house beer selection. Wednesday means $3.25 house beer, which is pretty good. Service is spotty. They'll take your first beer order and then sorta... Disappear

Vino's has always been consistent; both the pizza and the beer they brew are fantastic. In fact, in this recent period of so much buzz about all the new up and coming micro-breweries in town, people seem to have forgotten that Vino's has been brewing great beer for about 20 or more years now. If I judged them on food and beer quality alone, I'd give them five stars, but sometimes the service can be not so great, among other things. They are true to what they always have been and the pizza is in my opinion, amongst the best to be had anywhere. If you don't mind a divey place that can get a little loud and you just want great pizza and beer, I would definitely go. They are practically a local institution.

It's a total dive of a brew pub that serves great pizza. I can't speak for their beer because I came here twice for lunch and needed to go back to work, but it's hard to beat either their lunch special (a large slice & a salad) or the calzones. Great sauce, great crust, and friendly people. Tip: if you don't like the smell of yeast, don't sit in the room with the brewery. It kind of comes with the territory.

Since being away from the East Coast, this is the first real calzone! I'm so happy!! You can custom order BY THE SLICE!! By the SLICE people!! Great place. And one of the only places open on Sunday past 2!!! They also have live music & poetry readings. They also make their own beer. You can see the big copper things the beer is in. The staff was friendly & attentive. We will def be back!

A friend recommend coming to Vino's and I was not disappointed. It has that big city hole in the wall feel with good food. I enjoyed the change of pace by having to order at the counter and then going to sit down with your beverage to wait. The sausage calzone I had was brought out on a pizza plate. It was wonderful. The experience will bring me back.

Great dive of a place in a seedy part of town. We came on a Sunday night and not many people were here. Service was friendly and the food was GREAT! I had a Calzone and others had a slice. Everything was GREAT. Price wad very affordable. Strange clientele in the evening.

Vino's is an institution in Little Rock. It's provided a place for kids to go get away from the herds at the mall and anywhere else not cool. However, it's such a great place that after 20 years I still feel comfortable. They had fostered local music and beer long before those things were the cool thing to do. Tips for first timers- don't order a slice of anything or you'll get a piece of cardboard made last week. If you're going pizza, get a whole one. Margarita is a standout but everything is good if it's a whole pizza made fresh. You can't go wrong with calzones, salads or beer. And you probably want to get a pitcher of that so you don't have to wait it out in the line, which can move excruciatingly slow at times. I'm glad Vino's was here for me as a kid and I'm glad it's still around for me to enjoy as a grown up!

Vino's Special is the best slice in Little Rock, bar none! My only problem with Vino's is that there's no table service. Sometimes you can get a soft drink refill if they happen to walk by and notice, but if you order one slice and one beer and end up wanting more, you could find yourself standing in the longest line before you're waiting for it. The Vino's Special is marvelous though. Green AND black olives. I feel like I grew up in the back room, and now I love eating in the front room.

Love their pizza and calzones. Calzones are one of the best deal in town. I love the mix of the ricotta and mozzarella in it!

Here for lunch for the first time. I hope they're going for a dive feel, because that's what it is. I get they brew their own beer but I've never been in a brewpub that smelled like yeasty bread as badly as Vinos does. Like the classic rock playing. Service is meh. Not friendly but not overtly rude either. I do hate waiting 30 minutes for two single slices of pepperoni pizza. Pizza is BLAND to say the least. Super thin crust, too much sauce, and virtually no cheese. Sauce taste like canned tomato paste. Overall, unimpressed. Should have walked farther and got Something else. I super could have done without the VERY sweaty guy running to the back door( by my table) and back to the brew station. And please, PLEASE, do a deep clean. I feel like I need a shower after eating here.

What is there to say about Vino's? A pizza staple in Little Rock, and makers of the only calzone in a 100 mile radius worth eating. Good pizza, good beer, good place to hang out on the patio with some friends.

  • Andy S.

My friends chose this restaurant for their rehearsal dinner. This pizza place brews their own beer. I tried several including the cream ale. They also have IPA style beers. They also have stouts and porters, which are my favorite. One of my friends is vegan. He brought his own vegan cheese in that they used to prepare his pizza. They have traditional flavors as well as some that are more fun. One such pizza is the muffaletta pizza. It doesn't have tomato sauce, but it does have the New Orleans style olive salad as well as pepperoni and ham. The chicken BLT pizza is awesome. It has chicken and also lettuce and tomatoes on it. They also have vegetarian pizzas. This place is so good. The prices are average for pizza joints. They vary greatly depending on toppings.

  • Jake B.

Don't bother checking in!!! They don't honor the yelp check in two dollars off any pizza. Claims they didn't put it on there I told them they need to get off yelp them. Other than that the food was good the service was good.

Very cool spot. Came here in search of good micro brew, found it. Wish I was hungry enough to eat, the pizza looks amazing. This place looks like something out of a grunge movie, seriously love it. Highly recommend it, not the norm but in the best way possible. Also, music is perfect.

Vino's holds a special place in my heart. Going to shows since I was a teenager and going back from time to time for great pizza and root beer still hits the spot for me. It's also where I celebrated my 30th birthday with a lot of friends drinking their housemade brews. Vino's always gave me a "big city" feel for a pizza place in a very small metro like Little Rock. It seems to stick out...in a good way. Besides the nostalgia I have for the place, I'll concentrate on the food. My wife and I went to Vino's last Friday for something very, very simple. Pepperoni pizza and root beer. Yes, you may find yourself waiting in between the two doors in a line that seems to go fairly slow. Yes, you may wish the waiters and waitresses checked on you more (this never bothered me, because as a teenager, I never knew they existed in the first place). Yes, you may wait a little while for your food. However, when the hot pizza arrives on your table, all is well in the world. I love how they no longer serve your drink in the small paper cups. That was a pain. It's the little things, guys. Our pizza arrived and every bite reminded me why I love this place. This particular pie had a few too many "dough bubbles" on it for my liking, but it didn't take away from the taste. Our root beers tasted a little flat compared to previous times, but the homemade brew was still delicious. I've never eaten food from Vino's that I didn't like. Everyone laughs when I order a Turkey Pizza (yes, I said Turkey), but I highly recommend it alongside the Pizza Margherita. If you like a good hole-in-the-wall pizza place that is more on personality and good taste, go gran some pizza at Vino's.

So delicious! Great pizza in a casual atmosphere. When the food is this good who needs to fuss about "atmosphere?" Pizza has a great topping to crust ratio with delicious tomato sauce. Firehouse beer is yummy and worth a pint or two. Vegetarian and the Vino pizzas are delicious. Pizzas are huge! A large easily fed 4 of us. Try the cheese bread. Delicious!

  • Jacob W.

I wasn't that impressed with this place. We ordered their cream ale - it was flat and honestly not so good. We switched to a regional brand and got a much better product. We went there on a Tuesday night around 6pm, so I didn't expect the food to take that long; we waited around 35-40 minutes for one pizza. The waitress didn't check on us very often, which doesn't make a lot of sense when a bunch of dudes are running through pitchers of beer. Biggest complaint though, has to do with the bathroom. If you're forced to sit at a restaurant for over an hour for a simple pizza meal, there ought to be a serviceable bathroom. It was honestly frightful in there. I know this place is going for "divey," but there's no need to skip on sanitation. Ambience and health codes are not mutually exclusive.

The gentleman at the register is just the nicest darn Vino's pizza guy! The pizza was good too!!

Best Calzones on this part of the planet. And the microbrewed beer? YUM. I always leave (full and happy) thinking I need more tattoos and piercings (to keep up with the waitstaff.

  • Sam L.

I have to say that if you dine-in at Vino's, you are in for some good eating. However, this is the 2nd time that we have ordered our food to go and the food is absolutely crap. The calzones that we got (the last 2 times) maybe had 6 pepperonis in it and the salad had all iceberg instead of the 1/2 and 1/2 that they give you in house. My only guess is that this is a short cut that the staff is taking. What a shame. The Calzones and salads are awesome every time we dine in, just don't do to-go orders.

    (2)
  • Elroy W.

While I've never been here except for lunch, I am a fan. I usually get the lunch special which is a slice, small salad, and drink. I love their pizza slices as they are huge and have ample toppings. I also recommend their calzones as I enjoy them as well. I would highly recommend for lunch!

It's hard to find good pizza in Arkansas but this spot hits the mark. Coupled with the delicious fresh brewed beers this place is a definite winner. The venue is a bit quirky but it really just adds to the charm.

    (5)
  • Ben M.

The layout for ordering and service is stressful for both the patrons and the staff. Mediocre beer but the food is quality.

    (2)
  • Daniel H.

This is a quality spot to grab pizza and and bite to eat. It is a slow process the whole way.. but they do warn you that during busy hours it can take 25-40 minutes to get certain items. The process of ordering took time because the people ahead of use were ordering Beer to go and the person running the register was the one taking food orders and also the one to pour the beer. He did acknowledge us during the long wait and that was a plus. The Pizza was above average but nothing amazing and I did not have any of the brewery beers. I Overall the service was good but not a good system and the food was good. 3.5 stars but not good enough to round up to 4

  • Lisa S.

Fantastic pizza! I also loved the low-key vibe of this place. We got a medium pepperoni and medium Vino's special...both were awesome, but I was definitely partial to the Vino's special because I'm a big olive person! There were 3 of us and we almost finished both pizza's so definitely enough for some hungry people! We also tried one of their Pinnacle Pale Ale which was pretty tasty...we got it in a pitcher which was nice to share amongst the 3 of us. If I lived in Little Rock I would definitely frequent this place often!

  • Carrie S.

we used to love this restaurant but lately whenever we go the food is so so and the wait is FOREVER. tonight we called in an order for pick up and were told it would be 35 minutes. When we got there after waiting the 35 minutes we had to wait an ADDITIONAL 30 minutes before we got our food. once we got home our calzones were extremely salty and undercooked. it's too bad this was a favorite spot- hopefully they'll get their act together!

    (2)
  • Kylie D.

Easy and convenient to grab a quick slice. The calzones are the way to go though. Easy for picking up growlers on Sundays as well. Growlers are pretty reasonably priced as well. The porter is the by far the best.

  • Aaron P.

They brew their own beer, support local music, and have really good food. The atmosphere is really laid back and the staff is superb. I have been going there since 08 when I was stationed there.

  • Sarah W.

Better hipster hangout/bar than a pizza restaurant. The pizza wasn't terrible just a little too "doughy" for my taste. However, it's open late and the service was great.

Vino's Pizza Pub Brewery is Little Rock's first Brewpub. Their handcrafted ale is decent, a nice bastion of hope in a small microbrewery scene. I enjoyed the potent Rock Hopera Imperial IPA. It complimented the delicious pizza pie. The pizza is delicious and decently priced. The atmosphere is typical of a brew pub in an old building. The staff was attentive and helpful. Jonesin' for beer? If you happen to be in the area you should stop by for some brew. You'll be glad you did.

    (3)
  • Ted C.

Trying out Little Rock's microbrewery scene isn't that hard. I think Vino's is it since Bosco's is a chain and so it's just a matter of two places. Vino's also has food so it was a good choice for dinner. The four of us ended up sharing two large pizzas, a Margherita and the house special. For beer we went with the Firehouse and their Imperial stout. The pizza was all right, I have never really liked New York style pizza, I find it too thin and Vino's tries to make it in this style. The Margherita pizza though seemed like a White Pizza with tomatoes which was pretty good. My friends who live here say they always order that and I can see why, it was a good choice. The house special, basically the Supreme was all right, a little on the greasier side. I wouldn't get that again. Beerwise, the Firehouse was a light, easy drinking beer that went down pretty well. A pitcher of it went down very quickly. So quickly, in fact that I wanted their dark beer but they weren't able to sell me a pitcher of it because of the higher alcohol content. Since my friend's wife wasn't interested in a second round 3 did just fine. The stout was smooth with a slight malt nose. I wasn't sure that it's touted alcohol content was very high, it didn't taste very strong but was very drinkable. The beer was good, the pizza was on average, average, but I would come back for their brew work.

Their pizza and beer break the curve for Little Rock.. They're really untouchable. The interior and floors are really getting worn down due to their popularity as the go to place, so I'd like to see them spruce up the interior a bit.

  • Leslie M.

Best pizza in little rock. Hands down. Laid back relaxed restaurant with local bands in the back and a pretty cool patio section for outdoor door dinning. Food didn't take to long and they kept our pitch of pale ale full. I can't wait to go back

    (5)
  • Paul D.

I love this place. Ultra funky brewpub, pizza joint, and music venue. The first time I came here, there was a horribly loud heavy metal band playing in the back bar area. That really put me off for the feel of the place at first. Though that was late at night. Earlier is much calmer, and they do have better bands play here then that particular night anyway. As you first walk in there is a stand up front that you order at. The tap wall is behind the stand, and all the beers are on a chalkboard. Then you find a seat. There are two sections. Up front is divided in half, then there is a bar area in the back. The food and service was really good. Because you have to go to the front to order it can get slow, but the waitresses know their stuff and do the best they can. I had a callzone, and it hit the spot. Lots of pizzas and other sandwiches to chose from as well. The quality can't be beat. The beer is as fresh as can be, and the pizzas are great as well. The selection is really good as well. They have plenty of house beers. The selection rotates, but you can find a Pale Ale, ESB, Scotch Ale, Porter, Stout, and some others I can't remember. They also have a lot of other high quality craft and imports. New Belgium, Diamond Bear to Sam Smith and Chimay. Overall a great local spot.

  • Jeremiah H.

If you are looking for some good pizza look elsewhere. Maybe if you haven't had good pizza before then you may think this is something special but its average at best. Now the bar is great and if you are looking for a good place to drink and have some different kinds of beer then you will be happy. We were looking for a slice of pie and next time we will look elsewhere.

    (3)
  • Sara B.

The pizza here was really great, probably the best of the assortment I have had in Little Rock. Also the medium pizza was huge. Easily could have been cut into 8 slices. We also ordered the house salad. It easily served two. It's another one of those order at the counter places that I have found all over LR. This is also a microbrewery. My bf has gone several times in the evening and has tried most of the beers and thinks they are good. They did have a sign that their next beer tapped is going to be lemongrass chili pepper. I think that sounds delicious. Their wine selection is very minimal and they serve it in tiny little baby glasses, but they fill it to the top, and again, this is a microbrewery, so I'm sure they don't care too much about wine drinkers. I've heard this place is a hipster haven, however, every bearded server there was very nice to my preppy self. It was a little dirty, but maybe that's the hipster part of it shining through.

    (4)
  • David H.

I've been to Vino's twice already during my short time in LR. I guess that means I like the place. They brew their own beer and the Lazy Boy Stout is superb. The pizza is good, not great. As a result, I ordered a spinach calzone on my second visit. TOO MUCH CHEESE. Seriously, I LOVE cheese but this thing was gut wrenching. I'd take 4xthe spinach and half the ricotta, thanks. I'll go back, but I'm switching back to pizza. The atmosphere is punk-rock dive and I love it. I can't wait to catch a live show here. I really want to give Vino's 5 stars (currently hovering around 4 and a quarter) but the food just isn't impressive enough. I will absolutely become a regular here, so an update is not out of the question.

Great little brew pub that I always visit when I'm in Little Rock. Beer, pizza and calzones...

  • Steve F.

Being from NJ, I take my pizza seriously. Lucky for me, so does Vino's. The place is a total dump, which absolutely adds to it's appeal. It reminds me of some of my favorite bars in Philly. Wobbly tables, uneven hardwood floors and uncomfortable seating all help to make you feel as unpretentious as it gets. The line seems to consistently get out the front door which, in turn, leads to a long wait for the food but, it's worth it. The service is slow but, with a smile and of no fault of the wait staff. You order good food, you wait for good food. Thats just kinda how it is. The beer was really good (I only had the cream and the wheat ale's ((Cream of Wheat Ale?? Wonder how that would taste))) But, both were terrific. I honestly, could spend all day here. Vino's....TAKE MY MONEY!!!

As a longtime patron of Vino's, lemme break it down for you. Pizza: The most delicious is the Margherita. It's like a cheese pizza with an extra layer of love. Perhaps better, but not as mainstream, is the Vegetarian Special, where they spread out the tomato sauce, pile on a thick layer of perfectly chopped veggies and garlic, and sprinkle the cheese over. It is fitting that a place so filled with members of Little Rock's alternative culture would create the greatest veggie pizza I have ever had. Sandwiches: Until recently their sandwiches were lackluster, although sometimes I am in the mood for a bland sandwich. Then they made the Muffaletta. And although I'm sure somebody will say something about how their Muffaletta is inauthentic or something, or it can't be a Muffaletta because it's not in NOLA, I gotta say it's a delicious sandwich, especially the olive salad, and a great deal to boot. Salads: Simple. Lettuce, onion, mushrooms, shredded cheese, olives, and dressing. When they are doing it right, their salad is perfect. The house dressing is rich, and somewhat salty. I like to make my own with the squirt bottles of olive oil and red wine vinegar. The oil and vinegar also make a delicious dressing for their breadsticks and cheese bread, two items which are very inexpensive but can be transformed. Beer: My favorite is the Cream Ale. I have never tasted anything like it. It's like a very luxurious lager. Their IPA is good; well, most of their beers are good. Sadly, the root beer can be a little too sweet at times. Like any artisan product, the main devil is consistency. But their selection of draft and bottled beers is very good, though small, and reasonably priced. And of course, there's no way to describe the greatness that is Vino's. I once brought an au pair from the Czech Republic here, and he immediately said, This is a nice pub. There are so many details that make this place an emblem, a symbol of a different Little Rock. The art on the walls. The music hall in the back, where some incredible shows have been played by bands big and small. I once went to a wake there. Green Day once went to a party there. I've seen every kind of band you can think of there. Just before closing they would put out the leftover slices of cheese pizza and all of us would slam down our beers and grab them. The only good thing about the bathrooms is the graffiti, but it is hilarious. Also, if anyone is reading this, Vino's should put its tomato sauce in a jar and charge $5 for it. It is spicy, red, thick but creamy -- it is the best tomato sauce in the city. It's too bad you can't get spaghetti here.

Vino's is a Little Rock institution! From the home crafted micro brews to great pizza, calzone and sandwiches, this place has kept me happy for years. Henry (owner) has done a great job of creating a place that is unpretentious...a haven for a more off beat crowd. This is incredibly hard to do in such a cookie cutter town. But, many of the lily white town folk who feel that they are in the presence of Satan when surrounded by a wait staff with one too many tattoos, piercings or even a Cramps t-shirt, have loosened up to the vibe that Henry and Vino's has created. As a visiting friend from NYC once mentioned, stepping into Vino's is quite reminiscient to the mood and feeling of stepping into a bar in Grennwich Village. It is this fresh alternative to the endless array of the same ole, same ole within this city that makes Vino's a wonderful (and affordable) escape! Vino's isn't just noted for food and drink, it is also a great venue for live music. Once a stop for a young and aspiring Green Day, this haunt was also a launching pad for Evanescence before they hit the big time. Those are just a couple of the bands of note who have loaded their gear in and out of this downtown brew pub. There you have it, good food, good drink and good music!

A friend and I came here during a brief road trip stop in Little Rock. This was walkable from our hotel, and despite the area feeling a little questionable, ended up being a great destination that would have been worth driving to. GREAT pizza and a ton of beer options brewed in-house. Yum - I'd definitely go back next time life takes me to Little Rock.

Haven't been back to Little Rock in over 8+ years, FANTASTIC to see Vino's still putting together awesome pies, calzones and tasty hand crafted beers. Initiated the daughter with a slice and the ambience, she loved it. Love what they've done with the back patio and what I would refer to as "Vino's Crows Nest" decking. RazorBOCK Tshirts, and hand crafted beers what could be any better? Anyone know what happened to the surly "cat eyed glasses" girl who use to work the register? Enjoyed her snarky discourse.

Decent price and ok for a late night pizza. Not much flavor, sauce was plain.

  • Jeremiah M.

One of my favorite things to eat is the sausage calzone. I pretty much grew up there playing there with my band when I was young and really grew to love their beers but the bathrooms could be WAY cleaner and nicer over all. I deduct a star for that.

    (4)
  • Mike J.

Not a fancy joint. It gets five stars for two things, excellent pizza and home made excellent beer. We shared a muffeletta pizza and it was excellent. I tried the IPA and the Pale Ale and both were very tasty. It's not like a conventional restaurant, you go in the front door and go straight to the order counter. Place an order for food and drink. Drinks are supplied to you and then you go find a table. When it's ready, the food is brought out to you. There is a waitress who strolls around and removes empty plates, cleans off tables, and brings more drinks if needed. More beer is always needed, especially since it is so tasty.

    (5)
  • Perry Y.

While the pizza is pretty good and the beer is great, and the hipster atmosphere gives the place authenticity, really, folks, if you can't get a pizza to a table within 40 minutes of ordering, maybe a different line of work is in order. The place was moderately busy with plenty of staff standing around but that was the problem - that's all they were doing - stop adoring each other's tats, piercings and hair and SERVE YOUR CUSTOMERS. Maybe we'll go back, but there are plenty of other pizza joints (Iriana's) with better pizza or (Pizza D'Action) with a similar vibe.

  • Brian N.

First off, the management and staff are flat out rude. The bad taste their service left in my mouth was exceeded only by that of their microbrew. So much so that we warned our arriving friends to avoid it. The pizza was decent, although nothing special and it certainly wasn't worth the HOUR we had to wait for our order. I don't plan to visit this dump again. I'd avoid it if I were you.

Great pizza. One of the few places I will venture to just for the pizza. Do yourself a favor and buy a whole pie, not slices.

I've been going to Vino's for 15 years and i've always had a good experience. Never once did i want to leave, walk out. Never had bad food or bad service in 15 years. My boyfriend plays there in his band and i work near there so i can go to lunch too. It's one of my favorite places.

  • s. m. j.

Vino's is good at what it's good for, so I love it! I usually come here for a casual friendly lunch, and it is a great place for that. You order at the counter (have one of their excellent microbrews with your meal... you know you want to!), and they give you your drinks then and bring your food to you later. I usually have the mushroom and pepperoni calzone, but I've had pizza too. The calzones are huge and delicious! They come with more pizza sauce on the side for dipping. One of my friends usually gets a salad, and it also looks very good. Vino's is friendly and easy going and you can linger over your meal. There are many different seating areas, including outside (and outside upstairs). You can sit and talk and drink and fiddle-faddle, all the while sustained by great pizza and calzones. I love it!

    (4)
  • Patrick F.

Loved the pizza, we went back twice during our trip. Beer is made in house and is good, not great. The place is always busy. One complaint is that they should clean all the debris from around the back of the building so that the outside seating has more to look at.

  • Mike C.

Extremely rude staff. They act so put off by the fact that they half to work.

Guided by Yelp reviews while driving through Arkansas, my girlfriend and I pit-stopped here on our journey across America. Turned out to be a great idea! Even though the neighborhood around it was run down, Vino stood out as an excellent pizza joint. Had a delicious slice of the house specialty pizza with a local brew. Atmosphere was hipster-y, but people of all ages were there enjoying lunch.

There are plenty of pizza-and-beer joints in the Little Rock, but Vino's is the only one that also a good hipster hangout. The pizza is delicious, not the best in the world, but pretty good. They run a great system where you can order by-the-slice and they will actually make it from scratch as opposed to you having to order an entire pizza. That facet alone makes this a great place for lunch. The outdoor area is hard to find because you have to travel through their stockroom, but just ask and they'll point you in the right direction. The beer is decent, but for a brewpub, they don't make a wide variety of styles. Normally they have more non-locals on draught then they do house beers. Still though, they change the line-up often and you're chances of getting a repeat beer menu are slim. Live music in the back. Like I said, definitely a hipster hangout, but they're not territorial. You'll see plenty of other types of people too. A great place for a brew and a slice!

My husband and I come here every Friday. We always order the calzone with beer. Very nice people. It's nothing fancy but we always enjoy our dinner here.

Great hand tossed fresh pizza. The Lazy Boy stout is perfect with pizza the huge calzones and a too go must growler beer. Like most places in Little Rock the building is old and has a lot of character. Some would say seedy, but the place is cool, staff are awesome and the food rocks. The micro brewery is tops producing complex full bodied beer.

This place is alright. I tried their tap beer which was really good. The pizza was ok. I think it's a great place to get beer, but it's not a oh-let's-go-get-this-awesome-pizza kinda place... I would go back for beer tho.

Went here on a Friday evening just as it was starting to get busy. Nice atmosphere, the other raters give an apt description of the diversity of their clients. The service was efficient, the pizza was definitely "new york" style and I thought it tasted good and was a great deal at $3.50 a slice. The beer (I only had one) was pretty good, I'd like to go back and try more of them, also a good deal at $3.75/pint. Good New Belgium selection.

The best pizza in Little Rock, hands down, in my book. They also have great beer and I really love their salads too. If you've never been before, you order up front and seat yourself, and they give you a quirky little postcard to put on your table so the server knows where your pizza goes. Only negative is that they are not super attentive on refilling non alcoholic beverages And as a side note, I generally only go for lunch or dinner on a week night, so I can't comment on the type of weekend evening crowds they may have.

Call me crazy, but I have never been that impressed with Vino's. It's a typical, local hole in the wall. I have normally gone to Vino's for the bands & entertainment. Tried the pizza- nothing exciting. Tried a club like sandwich- it was extremely bland, and missing toppings that were listed on the menu. Not so sure what all the hype is about.

The pizza is good, but the staff is so rude!! I watched a waiter yell at a woman for trying to put some tables together because they had a large party. Previously she asked him if they could get a table for a party of 8. His response, "Good luck!". No offer to help her find a table, no offer to help put one together. Once my party got seated, we waited for 20 minutes before our drink orders were taken. When the waiter finally came over my friend asked about what beer he would recommend. The waiter didn't want to take the time to respond so he just said, "there's a menu up front". We didn't realize you had to go up front to place your pizza order. We waited for an hour thinking someone would come take our order. Once we finally placed an order it took another 40 minutes before we got the pizza. When they brought forks and plates out, they didn't bring enough so we had to share with the person beside us. The staff is that lazy that they won't take the time to count how many people are at the table so they know how many plates and forks to bring?? The only nice person was the cashier. I have never received such terrible service at a restaurant before! I will be telling all my friends to avoid this place. Go to Iriana's instead!!!!

Last October on my trip to Austin from Pennsylvania, Little Rock was the next place on my journey to hang my hat for the night. After the long day's drive from Louisville, I was in the mood to find a microbrewery that served food. Vino's seemed like the place to go. Indeed, it was! Man I really liked this place! It reminded me of how Austin used to be; full of character with no pretentiousness, kinda like if Love Joys served food. In fact, Little Rock in general reminded me of Austin past. Places like Vino's are an endangered species in Austin. Well anyhoo, the clientele was a comfortable mix of boomers, gen-xers, and college age kids. In addition to food, mainly pizzas and calzones, they also brew their own beer. I ordered a calzone and a couple of I.P.A.'s. The calzone was great. It had a crispy crust and the inside was piping hot with an italian tomato sauce, onions, peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni, and delicious fennel spiced italian sausage that rocked. The I.P.A was spot on! It was nicely hopped with a smooth body and balanced alcohol kick. One of the best I.P.A's I've had for sure. This place hit the spot and was exactly what I needed after a long day on the road. If I lived in Little Rock, Vino's would surely be a regular place for me to hang out.

A local fav for handcrafted brew & hand tossed pizza. In my opinion, just get pizza with your normal topping choices and they won't disappoint. Also they brew root beer for the kiddos. My 10 year old LOOOVES coming here. She frequently pushes me to have one, two or three too many drinky-poos. I'm so thankful my little darling such a great driver.

Vino's has not changed much over the past ten years and is still a really cool and unique place to go for pizza and sandwiches. They are a locally owned hole in the wall that offers some of the best pizza and calzones you'll find anywhere in the "rock" ~ Little Rock. Their micro brew's are also very good and their prices are very reasonable. When you go, order their muffeletta pizza or a sausage and spinach calzone along with a cold IPA beer. You can't go wrong here! If your into some great local heavy bands, this is a great place to go on Sat nights to get your head banging on!

The beer is great. I think the pizza is in the top 2 or 3 pies that you can get in Central Arkansas. Their toppings are solid and the crust is perfectly crunchy. I have never been for the live music. The place is small and crowded sometimes but worth it.

How to sum up this Little Rock tradition? It's a rundown hole-in-the-wall, and has been ever since I found the place almost 20 years ago. That's not a complaint, it's their style. If you want linen on the table, this isn't the place for you. Low-key, undemanding, and accepting. The venue and the crowd. The walls are adorned with multiple layers of peeling paint as well as various kinds of art for sale from local hopefuls (some of whom have gone on to success at least locally). the menu is mostly (entirely?) pizza, calzones, sandwiches, and salads. all of them are quite tasty. and the dough is made and hand-spun constantly and visibly in the open--and rather tiny--kitchen. While the pizza is certainly good, you can certainly get better pizza in central arkansas. I'm not aware of anyone making a better calzone though. I helped to start the micro-brewery there many years ago before the current system was put into place...I think in 1994/5 (wow, that made me feel old.) and I'm very happy to see it still going strong and making a respectable product. After all of the dozens of visits over the years, I'm sure there will be many dozens more.

this is a straight foward, no nonsense, beer and pizza type of place. If you like IPA, try the pinnacle. It is very hoppy...I can't imagine the Imperial, but I'm dying to try it... The pizza: It isn't exceptional, but it is solid. They have (what I call) the 'good' type of sausage. Its the chunkier, thicker clumps with seasoning laying on the top of it. It isn't New York style, it isn't thin crust and it deep-dish. Think papa johns (style wise) and that is the 'type' of pizza Vino's has...just way better. I would definitely recommend the pizza. A medium is big enough for two people.

You gotta Love Vino's. It has been a staple for years, and where else can you get the ambience of graffiti like "Satan Rules" as you are washing your hands during your lunch break. Although they have a great local music scene, I usually make the lunch hour. They serve up individual, yet giant slices with your toppings of choice. Although not as good as a made to order complete pie ( I assume they have ready made crusts ready to go for the slices), it is always consistently yummy! The crust is thin to my liking and the toppings always taste fresh. Their Italian sausage is especially good! I am in love with their side salad which consists of dark greens, lots of shredded mozzarella, onion, green olives, and a delicious creamy Italian house dressing. The calzones are great too! The service is very casual, you order at the counter and they find you by the cruddy post card table topper handed to you. The place is very rock and roll, grimy, and kind of smelly, with the kind of sellable art on display that makes you comment why someone would pay "for that". All this adds to the appeal for me, but the best part about Vinos, which is of course a brew pub, is the BREW! The Six Bridges Crème Ale is my all time favorite beer. It is just too good. The other selections are great too, but this particular one just hits the spot for me! Please do not go here and order a regular bottled beer. The location is super easy to get to, right off 1-30. Try it!

Convenient downtown location. The pizza was great. The vibe is definitely geared toward a younger crowd but the wait staff made we grandparent crowd feel welcomed. We did not try any of the house brewed beers but it looked liked they had many choices on hand. Only negative, the place could use a face lift, fresh paint and a good cleaning. The wait staff were very attentive.

Vino's If you were punk back in the day this place was known as the DMZ- a place fugazi played and made history- bands that have gone on to slightly notable success have played here as well as ones that just plain suck....and that's why I like this as a music venue bc ya never know- And now for the food- I have always loved the calzones- i hope they are still as awesome as i recall them being- it's sad to hear one yelper had soft dough on the calzone- i woulda sent it back and left happy - but that's how i roll- the beers! everytime i am in little rock i get me some vino beers! love the ales and stouts! the bathroom- ladiesroom- never been in but if it is anything like the mens' room - agh! man that has to be the worst bathroom in the history of bathrooms- which kinda makes it endearing to me- but yea not sure how santiary i would feel goin in there - friday afternoons are great also sat nite b4 the music starts- rock on vino's!

I was in town the other day for work and took advice from you Yelpers. You have to love that this place is a whole in the wall. The atmosphere screams take us or leave us... I don't give a shit. You have to love it. You also have to love that they make their own beer. The calzone as much as everyone RAVED about it..... eh. I got a pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom and I still think as I type this.... eh. The dough was bland (but slightly crunchy on the ends which I love). The meat could have been a little bit more plentiful and when I cut it open it made me think of NY style pizza with all of the grease that came pouring out. The best thing about it? The sauce that came with it. It had a smoky tomato flavor with some oregano mixed in. Another good thing... cheap. $12 for a calzone, salad, and a beer. Damn that's a good price. I'll be back try the pizza next time I'm in town but hopefully it's not as greasy as the calzone.

I was very happy with this place. I live in Texas now (from the northeast originally) and was visiting family recently in Arkansas. Found this place on here and thought it sounded good. Easily the best pizza I have had since leaving the northeast. It's the way pizza is meant to be. Their beer was fairly good also. I had the IPA and the black IPA (definitely go with the black IPA if that's your thing.) Also has a very eclectic crowd and has a dive feel to it. Definitely a spot I wouldn't have expected to find in LIttle Rock. If you are passing through here and want a great pizza and a solid couple of microbrews, Vino's is absolutely worth it.

The best Calzone in Little Rock and one of the best I've had in the U.S. Their Marghareita Slice is also simply fantastic - its so simple and so flavorful. Their crust is THIN - I love it. Beer - IPA is great. The only downfall here - is the noise. Call before you go to see when the band starts if you don't want to deal with all that. You can get beer here and take it home - awesome - Put a deposit on the bottle. The wait staff is QUICK - you order at the register, get a number for your table and your good to go - have a beer and a short wait later your foods there. Vinos is UNIQUELY LITTLE ROCK and consistent with everything.

I was passing through on a road trip and I chose Vino's based on it's views. It didn't disappoint. I had a tasty spinach, tomato and broccoli calzone with one of the house wheat drafts. A good place if you're looking for a local joint.

Pizza and calazones are awesome, beer is great, atmosphere is good, outdoor seating available...cons Food takes forever and service is kinda sucky but somehow Vinos manages to pull it off.

Specializes in pizza by the slice. Margarita is great & cheap. Vino's uses an unusual sausage on their pizza that is more palatable than most--usually hate it on pizza, but order it everytime @ Vinos. Try a spinach & sausage slice or calzone--they calzoness really are great. Pass on the salad--it's just iceberg covered in mozzerella and some olives. They have a great microbrewery & Sunday beer to-go in growlers that get around county blue laws.

The pizza is excellent (and reasonably priced) as is the venue. I've been going to Vino's since around 2001, I love the place. I just wish someone had not swiped the license plate off my car the last time I was there.

This place just exudes a delightful indie feel before you even enter. It's actually kind of hard to realize that you've made it to your destination, due to the somewhat well-disguised front door. I walked in, past the hard-working kitchen staff who were throwing pizza dough up in the air to stretch it (you can still get pizza dough worked like this? Awesome!), past the sign in the back that said "Do not Enter -- meeting in progress", and found a very large room with a stage for amplified music performances, and two pinball machines: Revenge From Mars ( ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=4… ) High Speed II ( ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1… ) Regrettably, I didn't get a chance to sample any of the delicious-looking food, but I am extra-endeared to this place for supporting local music (folks were setting up the stage while I played pinball), and especially for enforcing a no smoking policy. This place rocks.

Vino's is a really cool place to go in downtown L.R. for pizza and beer. I can't remember exactly, but I think they have a lot of specialty brews. Regardless, the beer is good and the food is yum and you can tell by the line you will be in. It's just a cool place to have dinner and hang with friends. The live shows they have are pretty hard rock, so, if you don't like that the music isn't for you, but I highly suggest it for a meal. Also, since LR doesn't let you buy alcohol on Sundays you can go here and bring a bottle or whatever else and they will fill it with beer for you and take it home.

Vino's is a dive, don't go there expecting a fine dinning atmosphere. It is at times noisy, and is very diverse. The food is excellent and the beer is amazing. They probably make the best calzone I have ever had. And if you ever happen to be there for one of their beer tasting parties, you are in for a treat.

I'm only giving this place 4 stars because I haven't yet experienced a show in their totally awesome backroom, but it's close to 5 stars because their pizza is the bomb! I shared a large veggie with my boyfriend and had an absolutely delightful time watching Wimbledon on the TV or the people who came in and out of this place. And lest I forget, the beer selection, some of which is brewed across the hallway. :)

good pizza! im typically more of a thin crust pizza person, but even though this crust was thicker, still very good. got the vino special, lots of toppings and it was delicious they brew some of their own beer as well which is also very good - i got the pale ale very cheap as well - 3 or 4 beers, 1 large pizza, 20 bucks

I wasn't crazy about my wheat beer, but I WAS crazy about my slice of pizza. It was the best pizza I've had outside of New York State. And how nice to be able to order just a slice. I had anchovies, onions, garlic and the sausage mentioned by other reviewers---yum! Note: This is a dive, which I hadn't expected, so you are forwarned. Very funky atmosphere.

The first time I went to Vino's, I got the pizza. It was average. Very thin crust but floppy at the same time (not crispy). Some char on the bottom. Average cheese. Not too much sauce. Not too flavorful. I did try my husband's calzone. It was AWESOME! The ricotta and mozzarella was smooth and tangy. Wow! Every other time I've gone to Vino's, I've gotten a calzones (several different ones), and that's what Vino's does well. Very, very good!

as far as i know, this is the best pizza in Arkansas. haven't had any other though. this is the spot where bands come to play in AK. well little bands. but every time we came here, i knew i was gonna get some damn good pizza and the best house salad ever. the pizza is thin and crisp, but that salad. i'd always get extra somehow. yeah, damn good pizza.

I'm tellin' ya - some of the best pizza anywhere coupled with the best Indy music scene vibe in Little Rock. Home made Root Beer too! Catch an all-ages show after dinner. A must do in Little Rock if you're into the scene.

If you are looking for great calzones and one of the best micro beers around, then look no futher. The calzones are truly some of the best I have ever had and I am in love with their pale ale. They have perfected the use of Little Rock water and found two great recipies for it. The dough for the calzone and the water for the ale. The only draw back to this place is that it seems to be the local hangout for every emo kid on the planet, Well the night I was there that was the case. The place is a certified dive that offers excellent food. Dont go for the decor go for the food and to catch an up and coming band. It is a spoke in the wheel of the Little Rock music scene.. You could be having dinner next to a district judge or the person that judge just released from his sentence. Either way, the food and microbrewed ale is what makes this place worth the dark fingernail polish and black swooped hair cuts...
